3 About the Trio
The Aurea Silva Trio is an innovative chamber ensemble consisting of flute, bassoon and piano. The widely contrasting color palette, along with a fluid combination of lyricism and virtuosity, make this particular trio worthy of an enduring place in the canon of chamber music. We are committed to popularizing the existing pieces for this instrumentation, and are excited to commission collaborative projects with modern composers in our efforts to expand the repertoire for this ensemble.
